Exterior Drainage
Home / Exterior Drainage
It's important to combine interior waterproofing solutions with exterior drainage to move excess water away from your home. We offer a selection of channel drainage, dry wells, and subsurface drainage. These products prevent storm water runoff and provide excellent below grade waterproofing. These products can help prevent excess water from entering your home in the first place and is a very important step you need to make to keep your basement dry. Each home is different, but we can find the right combination of exterior drainage products for your home.
Components of an Exterior Drainage System
Channel Drain
Areas that have a hard surface (driveways, patios, sidewalks) are more likely to have runoff problems than a landscaped area, due to the water not being absorbed by the ground. An ECP channel drain system is a good solution for draining your hardscaped areas. The water will be kept from entering your home or running down your foundation by entering a channel and being directed away from your home.

Drywell
An easy to install and maintain waterproofing solution is an ECP drywell. A Flo-Well unit will collect, store and discharge rainwater and runoff. This unit is gravel-free, unlike traditional drywells. Depending on your need, the ECP drywells can be stacked or connected to deal with any situation. Each drywell can hold around 50 gallons of water and are made from 100% recycled plastic.
Subsurface Drainage
If you need to keep water away from your foundation, below grade waterproofing is an important part of your external waterproofing system. Our subsurface waterproofing products will help you save on energy costs and keep ground water out of your home. Some of the items included in the drainage system are MiraDri fabric, waterproofing membrane, strip drains, and dimple boards.
Surface Drainage
An excellent way to protect your home against water damage is to install an inline catch basin. The basins can be sued to collect water from downspouts, landscape areas and runoff from hard surfaces. With the addition of a pop-up emitter, the water can be safely and effectively discharged away from your home. Earth Control Products offers several attachments to customize the system to your individual need.
