Basement
Found completely or partially below the ground floor, basements can be used as a living area or as a utility space. The walls may be made from cinder block, stone, brick or poured concrete. Each method of construction has its own set of potential problems. Basements can be susceptible to excess moisture, cracks and other damages to the foundation walls.

Through the use of plate anchors and carbon fiber fabric, Residential ResQ can repair bowed or leaning basement walls. We'll straighten the wall and reinforce it, making sure your wall is stronger than ever. Our experts will inspect your basement and foundation and apply the best solution to the situation.
Slab
Not as common as a basement or crawlspace, a slab foundation is exactly what it sounds like. The home's foundation is built on a concrete slab. A slab foundation helps keeps pests and vermin out of your house and can help insulate the house. They are usually close to grade, making them convenient for those in wheelchairs or with other mobility issues.
Slab foundations are susceptible to cracking. Tree roots or shifting soil can damage slabs and allow water to enter. We will give you a free inspection and determine what is causing the problem and address the situation. We use quality American-made tools from Earth Contact Products and have the experience and expertise to fix your slab foundation permanently.
Post and Beam
A post and beam foundation is constructed from wooden posts or concrete piers that are placed in the ground, bearing the weight of the structure’s foundation. This type of foundation is usually used for smaller buildings with a small chance of being impacted by high winds or earthquakes.

A post and beam foundation may experience damage due to soil expanding or contracting and the foundation can sink into the soil. Residential ResQ can install a drainage system to help keep water and moisture away from the foundation. We can also install new piers, helping to strengthen the footing of the foundation.
Crawlspace
Crawlspaces are found in many homes. They can range from a few inches to a few feet tall. The area can be used for storage and for easy access to plumbing and HVAC duct work. The construction of a crawlspace wall is similar to that of a basement: cinder block, brick or concrete.
Residential ResQ can help you with all of your crawlspace repair needs. We offer crawlspace encapsulation and waterproofing. We offer sump pumps, dehumidifiers, and other drainage systems, to give you a usable and comfortable space under your home.
